Ook direct naast SPOT verdwijnen kantoren voor woningen. In ons plangebied worden maar liefst ca. 1.090 nieuwe woningen gerealiseerd en in heel Amstel-III misschien wel 10.000. Dat vinden we ook heel erg nodig met de komst van zo veel nieuwe woningen en nieuwe bewoners. Het park komt op de plek van de huidige Hondsrugweg, die daarmee verdwijnt of verandert van karakter. Er gaan nog wat verkeersstudies en besluiten aan vooraf voor het zo ver is, maar dat het Hondsrugpark er komt, is zeker. Toren Crystal van SPOT ligt straks direct aan het park en andere torens kijken er op uit. Standaard duurzaamheidseisen en oplossingen zijn tegenwoordig aspecten als: (minstens) energieneutraal gebouwen, door bijvoorbeeld toepassingen als warmtepompen en zonnepanelen en een uitstekende isolatie. De gemeente ziet het gebied ook als een sport- en bewegingsgebied en bevordert dat ook door allerlei voorzieningen op te nemen in de openbare ruimte en de vormgeving daarvan.<\/p>\n<p>Heel SPOT wordt verwarmd en gekoeld middels een collectief warmte-koude-opslag systeem. Daarnaast zijn de gebouwen voorzien van PV panelen. Alle woningen zijn heel goed ge\u00efsoleerd. Dat resulteert in woningen met zeer hoge (voorlopige) energielabels: namelijk A++.
